I am Mariya Anderson, founder of Design Photography LLC. My work in commercial imaging and photo restoration is more than a profession — it is a way of observing the world with attention and preserving its structure.

 

My background in journalism and archival research instilled in me a fundamental principle: to document is to understand. I developed the habit of asking questions, analyzing details, and looking for structure beneath the surface.

When I photograph a commercial property, I think beyond the frame — I consider how the space will be presented, marketed, and archived. When I restore an old photograph, I am not simply working with an image — I am working with someone’s memory.

• Understanding Before Documentation. Every project begins with analysis — the structure, purpose, and objectives behind the subject.
• Precision as Foundation. LiDAR 3D scanning and HDR photography allow me to create accurate visual records that serve as practical tools, not just images.
• Careful Restoration. In restoration, my goal is not to reinterpret the past, but to carefully recover clarity while preserving the authenticity and character of the original photograph.
